Teal Grove Table Lamp

This table lamp features two full, rounded ceramic bodies stacked one atop the other — both glazed in deep midnight blue, glossy and immersive, the colour of the Bay of Bengal on a clear summer morning, the light catching differently across each curved surface.

The glaze is alive with natural variation: patches of sage-green and slate-grey breaking through the blue like the shifting colours of deep water, no two lamps identical. The base flares out in a wide, flat celadon-green foot — pale and cool, like the shallow water at the edge of a beach.

The shade is wide and generously tapered — pale butter-yellow fabric printed with vintage florals, coral peonies, white cotton blooms, and blue-grey foliage. When lit, the yellow glows warm and golden, the florals full and luminous — a burst of garden colour floating above the deep blue base, like bougainvillea growing over a harbour wall.

This is the lamp for a sun-filled room — the Bay glittering outside, the air warm and salt-bright, the kind of summer afternoon that never quite ends.

Material 

This table lamp has a stem made from stoneware clay, fired at 1220°C, paired with a Chanderi cotton floral lampshade.
